I had stubbed my big toe on a metal rod and it hurt like hell.. I had shoes on and could have sworn soon as I took off my shoe it woulda been filled with blood. but it wasnt. Couple weeks passed and my toe hurt so bad and I pushed on it and puss came out but it stopped hurting. I took my nailpolish off and everything seemed fine under my toe and I applied a antibacterial cream for a few days that I had gotten when I had an absess on my belly button. Everythings been good since then but I noticed there is a crack on my big toe from the top right to the base on the left side.. Question is... with this crack in the nail can I still wear nailpolish on it? or will that cause an even bigger infection?

i cant see why it would cause a bigger infection, but keep putting antibacterial cream on it
