How do i make my army boots really shiny?

I want to make my boots shiny, but have no experience of polishing shoes and some of my fellow privates' boots are more shiny than others..

How do i make my army boots really shiny?
use lots of paste wax polish and clean rags to put it on, with no hurry, you`ll get the proper sheen in a couple of days. if you`re in as hurry try mixing in a shot of wd-40 and buff like crazy with a flannel rag moistened with rubbing alcohol
Reply:spit and polish in a circular motion - takes forever but will look great - if you need a quick cheat though...... hairspray! shines them up real quick but you will need to burn it off before you polish them properly.......always knew the cadets would be good for something
Reply:table spoon over a gas ring, get it hot, rub the back of the spoon on the toe caps, polish with good wax polish, get them shiny and repeat . . .don't use a brush use a cloth to polish !

Takes ages but the result is well ermm shiny
Reply:Use moist cotton balls in a circular motion. Don't use shoe polish that comes in a bottle. this may tend to dry out and crack.

When I was in boot camp, the shoe shine guys in the barber shop would LAUGH at people who used that high gloss polish on their boots. And said "I'm not responsible for any damages caused by my rubbing and buffing that crap."

We generally just used moist cotton balls and worked them in a circular motion to get a shine that always managed to pass inspection.
Reply:Spit and polish

2 cloths and Kiwi polish

take first cloth and start to rub the polish in using circular motion do a couple of inches at a time

Then spit on shoe and rub spit in just like you did the polish a couple of inches at a time

Then take second cloth and buff up.
Reply:Ah ha! Well thanks to Anthea Turner I've learnt to rub my footwear with the OUTSIDE of a banana skin!
Reply:spit on them between each layer of polish.

My hubby is ex forces used to make me nearly throw up to watch him gobbing on his boots
Reply:Put the polish on and then buff it off with some old stockings or tights, it works a treat. My x was in the army and thats what he did! x
Reply:try vaserline.its easy
Reply:Melt the Kiwi lightly with a lighter. Rub it in with a little elbow grease, use a little cold water to finish it off. Don't melt the Kiwi too much though or it will ruin it.
Reply:polish it and brush it real long! u can see your reflexion!
Reply:this might sound daft but... take an ordinary iron, {plug it in} and iron the front of your boots, this will make them extra smooth then just add about 60 layers of spit and polish ... youll be able to see your face in them, trust me
Reply:Vaseline works well.
