Scuff marks on shoes?

I have a pair of gold colored shoes, and I only bought them in May, and have used them maybe 4 or 5 times, and after the 2nd time, I noticed they had white scuff marks on them. How can I get rid of that? I usually just polish my shoes with a scuff covering polish, but I have not found that in the gold color of my shoes. I read some of the other answers about getting scuff marks off shoes, and tried the Magic Eraser and that didn't work at all. I don't want to ruin my shoes since they're so new, by trying something and finding out it doesn't work. They're matt shiny, not glossy shiny, not like patent leather. Any suggestions?

i think maybe you should go to a shoe shop where they fix shoes, they have products that can help all kinds of shoes,i use this stuff called scuff cote, its like a liquid and it does not discolor your shoes ,it removes the marks.
Reply:Try using Alcohol on the scuff marks or use Comet. If using comet use a damp rag. They both will work. I use this method all the time. Make sure you rub really hard.
Reply:Try alcohol or nail polish remover on a cotton ball.I have use both many of times.
