Why do most british guys use unsmart nylon or canvas backpack?

I often see british guys wear smart suits and nice polished shoes but most of them use a nylon or canvas backpack(sometimes out of shape) that doesn't look fashionable and smart? why don't they use a nice leather or nice canvas smart case?


(because we ladies always care about what bags matches our outfit and not sure about why guys only care about what shoes matches their outfit but not their bags!and also normally guys' bags are quite big and that's where get the attention from people!)


my hubby said it is because they get free backpack from their company.


my hubby's male friend said he never think about using a smart bag. don't really care.

You are so right, but men are so hung up on being labelled GAY just because they dare to wear or carry anything slightly out of the ordinary.





Its about time men just did what they felt and not be concerned about what other people think of them. Honestly a smartly dressed gent carrying a shapeless nodescript bag makes him look like a mess. Italian men wouldn't do it as they have a sense of style, so why do UK men? It is rare to see a UK male dress nicely anyway, usually they are so sloppily dressed its a wonder women are attracted to them in the first place.





Ladies, it is your place to encourage your men to dress well and care for their appearance. Your man should take as much care about how he looks when escorting you as you do to be at his side. Until you girls take the initiative and make men aware, then nothing will change.
Reply:I guess it is because guys are more concerned about the utility value of their kit rather than the issues of fashion accessories and vanity.

Reply:Ok, I'm really a girl. But I have a backpack instead of a smart bag when I'm carrying more than fits in my small handbag as I find it more convenient to carry one bag on my back than 3/4 smaller bags slipping off my shoulders (as some women do on my tube journey every day).
Reply:im a girl,but the weather over here is lousy so expensive leather bags would get truined espesh in london where most people walk at least some of their way to work so they to protect their stuff in a practical way.
