I find that a very light sparkly pink (note VERY LIGHT) or a light shiny beige (as long as it doesn't match your skin tone) go with almost everything.
I highly recommend Jane black light nail polish in Prism Pink. It works with everything!

White or black nail polish looks good with a black dress. Pearls or black shoes will match nicely.
