Car/window paint?

I know you can use shoe polish as a window paint on your car, but it can mess up your paint. I was wondering if anyone knew if using the stuff especially made for cars like the foam or car window paints will hurt the paint on your car if left on for a long period of time. Or if you know of a place where I can get stuff to paint on my car with. I want to leave it on for about 2 weeks.

Dupli-Color makes a paint you can put directly on your car called Car-Art or something like that. It lasts for serveral weeks, won't hurt the paint, and washes off with mild soap and water. I used it during the homecoming parade last year and left it on my truck for a little over 2 weeks. It came off fine and I never had a prob.
Reply:just go to wal-mart and get wondow paint. however, the problem isn't it ruinin your paint, it's you ruinin your paint when u try and take it off.
Reply:There's stuff called window markers. You can get it at wal-mart or any other department store usually. It's by the automotive stuff.
Reply:it will ruin your paint if you put it on....my buddy and i played a practical joke on this guy that we worked with and took those window markers and put dots all down the side of truck the hood the roof, he wasnt that excited to see....and cost him 450 to have professionally removed.....so my suggestion dont put it on the body, but on windows its perfectly fine...goodluck
Reply:I am not sure. I would see a car mechanic. Also make sure your not painting the windows on the computer.
