Why do i have this paraffin smell like when i switch on my cooker or gas heating?
do you have bottled gas?
is this the first time you might be near running out of gas if its bottled? they add a nasty smell to gas so if its leaking you can smell it, however if you have bottled gas or propane, it will smell when the bottle is getting low, if its natural gas and you smell it call the gas company, you have a leak somewhere. its very dangerous if its leaking.
Reply:have you decorated or got turps near by we decorated a few weeks ago and there was a smell for days after the paint fumes must have stayed in air and reacted with cooker smelt just like parafin
