Shoe shining alternatives?

I have a black pair of dress shoes. I just used the last of my conditioner but I'm out of polish and vaseline. Anything else that will shine them up real nice for me? Thanks!

Shoe shining alternatives?
A pinch of oil. Try baby oil. Put a little on a lint free tissue, paper towel or cloth and rub on like you would shoe polish. Let them sit for an hour, then take another lint free cloth and buff the oil away. You don't want to use too much, or you'll be left with really greasy shoes. I'd say a teaspoon all together should be enough. But no more than this.
Reply:Here are some alternitives:

1. Hubert's shoe grease. Just a little will not only shine the shoes, but will protect them from the rain, snow, and cold.

2. use soap and water. It does wonders for my shoes.

3. Spit shine them if down to the last resorts.
Reply:In a jam, in the past I have used furniture polish and Armorall.
