Is just regular shoe polish okay or will that ruin the shoes? If anybody knows let me know
My boyfriend got a pair of shoes that are made of HEMP and we have no idea what to use to clean them with....?
I looked up ways to clean hemp...and i found a website that made hemp rugs..and this is what they said on how to clean them:
When cleaning our hemp rugs it is best to first start with using water and a toothbrush or a scrub brush depending on the size of the area you want to clean. If the area you wish to clean is large, we advise taking the rug outside and hosing it down. It can be left outside to dry in the summer or hung to air dry inside if outside drying does not make sense in your climate. Occasionally, water is not sufficient to clean the hemp rug. In this situation, we advise using a very mild dish soap or detergent along with a toothbrush or scrub brush to clean the area. After using the mild soap, it is very important to rinse the area thoroughly as any residue left on the rug may give it a powdered appearance.
This should apply to the shoes since they are made of the same material. I hope I helped.
