How do i remove stains off plastic?

i have to hand my lease car back in a good condition and have tried wiping down the brown mud marks off the plastic interior on the doors and round the inside of the car but the marks keep coming back.

i have heard that a dealer trick is to use black shoe polish - is this correct or is there something else you can use?

please don't bother answering if your only answer is to say have it valeted as i am skint and that is not an optionLOL!

Reply:I think I will go along with Wickerma on this one.

its not you fault is it ?

Lets face it if you had gone over a newly surfaced road and it got covered in tar what would you have to do then.

If they've got a problem tell them to sue Nature
Reply:Hi,

its a lease car and as you say good condition

just send it back as is .... normally wear and tear

I think they would not be happy if the body work is crumpled or wheel trims missing

Take a chance

They can only bill you later !!
Reply:there is a very good product you can purchase from any automotive or plastics supply company made by mcguirres called plast X. it is a polish cleaner made for plastics. it works really well. can also be used on CD's
Reply:Back to black trim restorer from some where like Halfords.
